All Torn Up

Today we celebrate the ripped jean! Many people frown on them, others love them, some are just plain indifferent. For me, jeans are a canvas for everyday life. Get a little rip in them, rip them more. Get a stain on them, bleach them till their bleach-stained. You can buy a gorgeous pair of jeans and throughout their years of life, they grow even more beautiful with the marks, mishaps and mistakes of your everyday life. These jeans are about 5 years old. I bought them with one rip in the thigh. Over the years the rips have grown, exposing more of my legs everyday. This vintage leather and raccoon fur coat is the newest addition to my collection. I found this last week at a Savers store for $34.99 and I’ve never been happier. What’s better than throwing on this coat during the weird days of a New York City winter….nothing.
